Warren Grissom, an undergraduate student, was invited by Professor Benjamin Lippincott in 1937 to present a report to the American Federation of Teachers, Local 44, which had an on-campus chapter on the history of segregated student housing. The report is signed by the members of the Interracial Committee of the Negro Student Council, which was formed in 1937.
