The presidential-appointed Task Force on Building Names and Institutional History published a draft of its report on February 25, 2020. The faculty and student members are listed in their report. The report responded to a number of criteria for considering whether to remove the names of those administrators who were honored. President Eric Kaler supported the recommendations of the Task Force. After two highly contested meetings of the members of the Board of Regents in the spring semester, the recommendations were rejected by a vote of 10-1.
