Ray Chase wrote briefly to Edward Nicholson to assure him that he was speaking to members of the United States Senate about the subject of their previous correspondence regarding the choice of regents. Since Senator Lundeen was mentioned in their letters, it is likely that Chase made contact with him.
The letter demonstrates again that Chase and Nicholson were in a relationship in which Nicholson requested influence and Chase requested information about the University of Minnesota. Chase notes that he is following up on his promise to involve Senator Lundeen.
