A family photo of Martha Wright on her graduation day in 1938. She posed with other activists for African American student rights. From Left to Right: Charlotte Crump, most likely, Diane Glantz, Martha Wright, and Helene Hilyer. Crump, Wright, and Hilyer were campus activists, members of the African American Sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha, and Crump and Wright were founders and active in the Negro Student Council. Diane Glantz was a critical ally with Wright and Crump to integrate campus housing.
