This flyer called on students to skip one hour of class in order to protest the possibility of the United States entering a war in Europe. These protests were the work of a national movement in which such strikes were coordinated on campuses throughout the United States. These flyers are in the files of President Coffman because he directed his staff to closely monitored student activism because he perceived it as dangerous.
